For Your Reading Pleasure

A great article detailing the American Cancer Society's participation in RAGBRAI is posted at this link http://www.uihealthcare.com/news/news/2007/07/23ragbrai.html

PICTURES FROM A WEE BIT LATER

So, visitors to the the Mobile Action Center (MAC) were asked to Picture A Cure". Essentially, they used our custom program to share a personal cancer story or draft a letter to their US Senators/Congresspersons asking for increased funding of cancer research....and in return each and every one of our new advocates received a beautiful t-shirt, handy-dandy towel with carbiner clip and our purple "Hope" wristbands. We actually have photos of all the empty boxes, but I'll spare you from having to look at those.

As one of the few organizations that wasn't selling product, we were/are a big hit. (Not to mention that whole "fighting cancer" thing that seems to get folks all riled up)

Some Photos From Early in the Day

Wow!

Crazy is the only word to describe the opening day of RAGBRAI. Thousands of riders, fans and organizations have converged on a town the size of my old highschool..so far we've met the ACS bicycling team, Dr George Weiner, and endless cancer advocates. Simply amazing. We'll post pictures later this evening.
